I'm Knitting...

The worms are well. But I'm not writing this weekend. I'm knitting. Two weeks of half-conscious sofa surfing has made me want to knit and knit and knit. It's been a while and it's great. Since my brain switched back on, all I've wanted to do is finish a summer sweater. Sometimes, knitting just has to take charge.

However: Book whore that I am, I started reading three amazing books late last week. They are so good, they are keeping me up late into the night (2:30 AM? Anyone?).

1) Michael Pollan's "In Defense of Food"

2) James Howard Kunstler's "The Geography of Nowhere"

3) The gardeners of Terre Vivante's "Preserving Food without Freezing or Canning: Traditional Techniques Using Salt, Oil, Sugar, Alcohol, Vinegar, Drying, Cold Storage, and Lactic Fermentation"

Maybe I'll write some book reports soon.
