Free peppers!

(Seven unexpected pepper plants- how great is that?)
---
Behold, the bottomless well of laziness giveth once again!
.
I have some pots off to the side of the porch that I'm reserving for my peppers. I didn't empty the pots and remix the soil (yet!). But thank goodness I've been avoiding that boring, messy task, because-- what should my little eye spy, poking out from under cover of dead lavender twigs? Peppers that reseeded themselves from last year!
.
I suspect these are peach habaneros- the leaf is rounded, as habanero leaves tend to be. This is incredibly great, since I've tried and failed twice this year to start peach habaneros from seed. I repotted seven of these cute little volunteers this afternoon. Volunteers rock.
.
l also found one tomato plant, which is probably a Supersweet 100 from last year. I really don't like cherry tomatoes, but I'll grow this baby anyway. How can I not honor that kind of tenacity?

What potential spring gardens hold! Reseeds are always a fun surprise. We just put together a small blueberry plantation all in pots (7 plants). Easier to grow cause you can get the soil acidic and the gophers are foiled.

Love those volunteers ...

I'm totally jealous about the blueberries from d. I have killed them endlessly, and we live right in the heart of bluberry country!!!

Oh .. you got a tag .. check it out at our site ...

Carolyn, thanks very much for the link! Gee, but you're turning into a gardener pretty quickly...

Lazy gardening is the way to go - people are always in a rush to pull stuff out. Most of my garden is self-sown. Gives me more time for cooking and eating!...And blogging, of course!
