Spring Gardening in the Great White North

I'm still waiting to hear just how much federal reeducation money is coming my way so I can move on with my life. Thank goodness for gardening. It's a welcome and worthwhile distraction. Spring in Detroit this year is not nearly as cold and miserable as it was last year, though we did have sleet and hail a few days ago.

Sweet peas, potted
---
Tomatoes and peppers, started
---
Maple seedlings from last year that I didn't have the heart to kill- I found them rooted amongst the eggplants. But now what do I do with them?
---
Cuke power! Go cuke go.

So you have your deck back? I hope so, it's been long enough.

looking good.

I can't wait to get growing. We are still waiting for our weather to break. We had a frost warning last night!

We're eating lettuces and radishes from our garden. Very tasty.

I let some errant maples grow up, and when our house was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan they were some of the things that survived. I dug them up and transplanted them to our new home. You could pot them and let them grow into shade trees. They're very pretty when they're leafing out.
