Future Pickles

Aren't these little babies freaking adorable? The plant is suddenly just exploding with teeny, weeny cukes. I expect dozens of blossoms by the weekend, judging from all the little nubs.

These are a pickling variety called
Double Yield; can't wait to try them. The seeds came from my favorite seed company, Seed Saver's Exchange.

We aren't having much luck with our cucumbers!

Mine are way behind yours, but... I believe you can add the blossoms to soups too! :)

They look so healthy and vibrant. I was going to do a ton of pickling cucumbers this year...now that isn't going to happen.

They are really cute! It is nice that you have so many future goodies going right now. Our cukes are a bit behind, but I am hoping they'll catch up soon.

I didn't plant a single cucumber this year, I don't know what the heck I was thinking but I sure regret it now. Yours are gorgeous.

Squeeeee! They're so cute. I just picked three more cucs and we're going to put up bread and butter pickles using my late mother-in-law's recipe. That will satisfy hubby and then I'll try something else.

We are getting so much rain here that the cucumbers are doing nothing. Very sad. Yours look really great. Last year we had them coming out of our ears, hopefully they will pick up soon.
